The whole village was destroyed by a big typhoon in 1966. However, after more than 40 years, this village was revived as today’s Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba. さい西こ湖のほく北せい西にい位ち置するこのち地いき域は、かつてかや茅ぶき葺や屋ね根のいえ家いえ々がなら並ぶしゅう集らく落がありました。1966ねん年のたい台ふう風によるさい災がい害でむら村ぜん全たい体がうしな失われてしまいました。しかし40すう数ねん年のさい歳げつ月をへ経て、げん現ざい在の「さい西こ湖いやしのさと里ねん根ば場」としてさい再せい生されました。 There are 21 thatched houses and an open space. You can enjoy various kinds of activities at each house. For example, you can eat local food, experience pottery workshop, and buy artwork made by locals. Furthermore, you can wear Japanese traditional kimonos for an additional charge. このしゅう集らく落には２１のいえ家とひろ広ば場があります。それぞれのいえ家では、きょう郷ど土りょう料り理をた食べたり、とう陶げい芸たい体けん験をしたり、げん現ち地のひと人によるて手づく作りのこう工げい芸ひん品をか買ったり、さまざま様々なたい体けん験をすることができます。さらに、べっ別りょう料きん金でき着もの物をき着ることもできます。 There are seasonal events all year round. Everyone from children to elderly people can enjoy this old-time scenery and feel at peace. いやしのさと里ではしき四季をテーマにねん年じゅう中ぎょう行じ事をかい開さい催しています。こ子どもからおとし年よ寄りまでがこころ心やす安らぐばしょ場所です。 We ate lunch at one of those houses called “Gorone-Kan (house to lie down and doze)” while looking at the magnificent scenery of Mt. Fuji. After lunch we explored these houses and played Takeuma (bamboo stilts) and Kendama (cup-and-ball). わたし私たちは「ごろね寝かん館」でふ富じ士さん山のそう壮だい大なけ景しき色をなが眺めながらちゅう昼しょく食をとりました。ちゅう昼しょく食ご後はしゅう集らく落をたん探さく索し、たけ竹うま馬やけんだま玉たい体けん験をしてたの楽しみました。 International students were delighted to observe beautiful autumn leaves and spend the time in this good old village of Japan. りゅう留がく学せい生たちはうつく美しいこう紅よう葉やふる古きよ良きに日ほん本のさと里をまん満きつ喫していました。 Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba Healing Village さい西こ湖いやしのさと里ねん根ば場 ACCESS: Retro Bus 50 minutes from Fuji Kyuko Line Kawaguchiko station. 25 minutes from Kawaguchiko IC Chuo Expressway.
